Montrose & District Motorcycle Club, trials cater for all comers from Beginers, Intermediate, twin shock, clubman to the advanced riders.
you will find a friendly team who are always ready to lend a hand. If you don`t have a riding partner there will always be someone to show you the ropes, ride the trial with you and introduce you to the Regulars
The idea came from manufacturers proving their bikes could go further and over rougher terrain than others did. The original name was Reliability Trials, and then came Observed Trials, and then just plain Trials. Today the emphasis has moved onto the rider as it assesses his/her ability to keep their feet up through the demanding and technical sections that make up modern trials.
The winner in a Trial is the rider who has completed the course, usually consisting of 4 laps of 10 individual sections, with least marks incurred throughout the day.
Flags, tapes and markers, determine the parameters of the section and riders must steer their bikes through pairs of flags or between tapes, and over all obstacles, which may be in that path.
The ultimate aim is to get through the section without stopping or putting any feet down.
